What a weekend! We played Friday night at the L.A. Cafe in Lewiston. Bruce Willson and his wife Jan have an awesome ministry going on there, and it was great to be a part of that spirit of love for the evening.

Yesterday, we played at Pittston Congregational Church, the church Carla and I got married in. Many thanks to the church family over there for inviting us to share, and for their continued support!

Happy September, everybody!

Over the long weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Swift Waters Music Festival at Chop Point School. The lineup included my local favorites, Three Days Down, Justin McRoberts, Eric Peters, and a headlining concert by Sara Groves. I had never heard Eric's music before - what a great songwriter! His songs are full of imagery and life, and he's got a great sense of melody. There are some samples of his music at his MP3.com page, including the song that's running through my head as I write this, "I Know the Mountains." Check him out!

It's an exciting time for the new CD - I'll be recording some sax parts with reed player extraordinaire Dave Wakefield this weekend, so please keep us in your prayers.

You may also notice that my Mizmor.com page has a few less songs on it than normal. About a week or so ago, Mizmor and their parent site Javamusic lost a server with some information on it, including MP3 files and images. I apologize for the incovenience, but soon you'll be able to get all the songs in the most convenient form of all - a shiny, round, plastic disc!

I saw this on the local news tonight and could not stop laughing...

"Is that Larry King in that hayfield down there?"
Yes, it would appear so.

Not much to report, although a recording date has finally been set with one of the guest musicians appearing on Prodigal Songs. We've also been preparing pretty heavily for our gigs at Christo's Place tomorrow and Saturday. If you can't make it to either show, your prayers for the evening are requested.
